From the Bush to the river side...we've got you covered!
There are so many different environments that are classified as bush around the world. All diverse and unique in their own ways. So how can we recommend a ground anchor for an environment that varies so much? If you have the time take a look at our environments page and you will see that GroundGrabba is suited to almost every habitable environment on earth, from loose sand to hard rocky ground and everything in between we have a GroundGrabba that provides effective anchoring.
When you head out to the bush you could encounter any number of different types of ground. GroundGrabba is designed to anchor your tent or other portable structure securely regardless of the substrate. This comes down to selecting the right GroundGrabba based on the size of the structure you are anchoring, the substrate and the local weather conditions.
In a bush environment that has a good amount of trees and other vegetation, it's less likely that there will be strong winds. In these situations, our GroundGrabba Pro provides excellent ground anchoring. In open areas with shrubs or little vegetation high winds are more of a factor to consider and for the most secure ground anchoring, we recommend our GroundGrabba Pro II.
Staying Safe in the Bush
Often when trees are available they are a tempting, secure place to tie off a tent, tarp or gazebo. I have seen many people do this in the bush, but what is often overlooked until it's too late is the danger that it poses. Trees or bushes are seldom in the perfect position, so one often ends up using a longer length of rope to anchor their structure. At night when visibility is poor these lengths of rope create a trip hazard. By using GroundGrabba's to anchor your structure you eliminate the potential risk while being assured that your structure is securely anchored no matter what ground it's on.
Use Your Cordless Battery Drill
Nowadays many a family camping expedition to the bush includes loading up your pick up with all the mod cons to help turn your rustic camping experience into glamping. Today we take solar panels, deep cycle batteries, inverters and of course the cordless battery drill.
GroundGrabbas have been designed for speed and ease of use when driven in by a cordless drill. We recommend at least 18v of high torque and quality. Brushless motors are our choice for either impact wrench or normal drill. Just clip in your 3/4" Hex Socket Driver and away you go.
